Abstract

The Warehouse Management Robot using Line Following Technique is an autonomous robotic system designed 
to automate material transportation in warehouses and industries. The robot follows a predefined path using IR 
sensors and a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller. The sensors continuously detect the line and send signals to 
the controller, which processes the data and controls the DC motors through the L293D motor driver circuit. The 
system ensures accurate path tracking, smooth navigation, and efficient movement of materials with minimal 
human intervention. 
The project also integrates obstacle detection and IoT technology to improve safety and automation. Obstacle 
sensors help the robot avoid collisions, while the built-in Wi-Fi feature of the NodeMCU enables wireless 
monitoring and communication. An OLED display is used to show system status and operational information. The 
robot is programmed using Arduino IDE and demonstrates the practical application of embedded systems, sensor 
interfacing, motor control, and IoT communication. The proposed system is cost-effective, energy-efficient, 
reliable, and suitable for industrial, educational, and research applications.
