Abstract

An attempt has been made to analyse the Soret effect on the hydromagnetic convective heat and mass transfer
flow of an electrically conducting fluid through a porous medium confined in a vertical channel channel. The
walls at y=±L are maintained at non-uniform temperature. The equations governing the flow, heat and mass
transfer have been solved by a regular perturbation method with the slope  of the boundary temperature curve
as a perturbation parameter. The velocity, temperature and concentration have been analysed computationally
for different variations in G,D,R,N,Sc,S0 and x. Also the Shear stress, the rate of heat and mass transfer are
evaluated for different variations.
