Abstract

Conducting polymer-based composites have recently become popular in both
academic research and industrial practices. The conductance mechanism of conductance can
be accomplished through its interaction with other compounds and this can be fulfilled
through compositing. Here composites of PANI and amino acids are reported through
computation along with physical and chemical studies. PANI composites of (E)-3-
phenylprop-2-enoic acid (CIA) and 3-hydroxy benzoic acid (3HBZA) are used to calibrate
the factors of conductance in PANI. Conductance of PANI-CIA is higher than PANI-3HBZA
due to electronic effect. The conductance is due to the quantum hoping of H+ by the field
produced by the polymer chain and the counter ion.
